I have heard conflicting opinions on the subject of wrist snaps during your pitchers warm up routine. Some say wrist snaps are a waste of time, and you can back up to the about 30 ft mark and using the clock method, from the 12:00 position you can throw all your pitches and that way your wrist is snapping the way it would in an actual live pitching situation. I guess my question does anyone have any other opinions or scientific proof of the correct warm up methods?

No scientific proof either way. However, I think it is important for all levels of pitchers. For the beginning pitcher, the snap is the most important part of getting speed on the ball. For advanced pitchers, it is the most important part of getting the right spin on each pitch (curve, screw, rise, etc). So practicing spin, in my opinion, is a vital part of warm ups as long as you practice them correctly.
