The 2015 NPF Draft In Nashville Written By Gary Leland

Another flight home from another softball event. This time it was the NPF Draft. In case you have been living under a rock, NPF stand for National Pro Fastpitch.

I have been involved with the NPF since the beginning. During the first two years of the leagues existence my company ( was the original cap and visor provider. Back then the league was pretty much unknown.

Now the NPF is looking much better. With only one team remaining from the original year (The Racers) they have a strong base. They have added two new teams in the last two years, and the newest team is the Dallas Charge. Since I live outside of Dallas I am partnering with The Charge in every way I can think of. I think their GM, Kevin Shelton is a smart guy, I expect big things from them soon.

I have never been to any of the previous drafts, so I can not compare this years to previous years. I do have to say The 2015 Draft was pretty nice. CBS Sports covered the draft for the first time, and that was a really positive step for the NPF.

The league president Cheri Kempf appears to run a tight ship, and is making sure The NPF continues on an upward growth curve. I really think a lot of her, and her team.

The draft was very well done, and I would recommend that anyone who loves softball should go next year. Held in the Country Music Hall Of Fame Theatre was wonderful. It was the perfect setting for the event. The entire event was smooth, and went off without any issues. I assume this event will be even better next year.

If you live in Tennessee you really need to go. I know you will find it a great way to spend an evening, and can we really get too much softball?

Next year come up, introduce yourself, and say hello.

See you in 2016.
