This week we are bringing you Coach Patty Gasso's speech from the FCA breakfast. Her amazingly inspirational speech on her involvement in the game of fastpitch softball begins with her story of looking to Dot Richardson as a role model. She used to play against Dot and loved her fire and passion for the game! Some younger players even mistakenly asked Patty Gasso for Dot Richardson's autograph!

Patty then moves on to her coaching experiences with her fastpitch softball team a few years ago. She challenged five players, that she didn't feel were motivated to play, with living the typical college life or the life of a committed college softball player. Only one of those 5 players stayed with her team. Coach Gasso was then put in a situation with a team of only 12 and she made it work with the help of God. She kept her faith and ended up with one of her most passionate and driven teams! The team stepped up in the most uncanny situations and went above and beyond to play the game that they all love, fastpitch softball.

The FCA has been a huge blessing to Coach Gasso and encourages all athletes with their teams and coaches to become become more involved with it.
