This week is part 1 of a great hitting clinic by UCLA coaching legend Sue Enquist. Produced By Gary Leland
This episode is part one of UCLA’s Sue Enquist’s hitting clinic given at the national coach’s conference. Sue’s goal in this segment is to review each segments of the swing to show you what actually happens in the swing. She will then cover the most common problems with hitting and swings. She also provides solutions to the problems most coaches face.
There are not two different swings for a fastpitch softball player. You do not swing down for a drop or up for a rise ball, there is only one swing to utilize. The goal is to be efficient without a lot of extra moves. Hitting is all about timing. There are no specific principals for how to stand in the batter’s box. There are nine principals to the swing and Sue breaks down each part of the swing giving players something to take home and work on. You won’t want to miss this episode of Fastpitch TV!
