Softball Hitting Drills – Samantha Rickets

Softball Hitting Drills – Samantha Rickets – Produced By Gary Leland

[leadplayer_vid id=”51C9A4C8E38EB”]

Samantha Ricketts shows us how to generate bat speed. Before a game work a couple of days before with hitting drills using a heavier bat. The next day do the same drill, but use a lighter bat and continue until game day. The other drill that Samantha shows us is using 2 tees back to back with the one in front slightly lower than the one in the back. When you swing to hit the one in the front you should not be dropping the barrel, therefor the bat on the back tee should still remain stable as you hit the ball on the front tee.

I use a bat weight.. I don’t really have many bats that are heavier or lighter to progressively work with, but good idea!
