This drill allows concentration on the upper half of the body during a swing
Set up a net as if you were about to do a tee drill but instead set a medium sized orange cone where the tee would typically be.
Have the batter take a stance kneeling on their back knee and their front leg should be straight out in front towards the net.
Place the ball on the cone and have them hit. This will allow them to concentrate on proper hand and arm movement without worrying about the legs.
The coach should be the one observing while another player resets the ball on the cone. This allows the coach to provide feedback to aid the batter and also gets other players involved as well.
