Movement Pitches Part 1 – Bill Hillhouse – Produced By Gary Leland
Pitching Coach Bill Hillhouse gave a pitching clinic at Softball Con about movement pitches. This is part 1 of that clinic.
Coach Bill Hillhouse is a well-known Fastpitch softball pitching coach and has been on our show several times. On today's show we are bringing you another clinic from SoftballCon! This clinic on motion pitching from Coach Bill Hillhouse will be brought to you in three parts and this week we have part one!
During this part of the clinic Coach Bill speaks on proper mechanics of a fastpitch softball pitcher. A pitcher must understand her motions in the way that she snaps her wrist, takes her stride, follows through, and pins the ball with each pitch. When the pitcher understands her motions and the way that she needs to adjust her motions to correct her pitch then there is more chance of improving at a greater pace. After that intro Coach Bill begins to go through the motions step by step teaching the proper mechanics of the pitch and how to correct a flaw.
