This drill is a great way to develop bat control and short, quick swings.
Have a batter set up approximately 22 feet away from three fielders who will position themselves two feet apart.
The ball will begin with one of the fielders who will then toss the ball to be hit back using a short, quick, downward stroke. This should be a quick ground ball back to the fielder depending on the placement of the toss. (Inside pitch to the fielder to your left) Then repeat.
To make the drill more difficult use two balls at once keeping the hitter consistently ready.
