This week I am bringing you part three of a pitching clinic with Kim Dunlop-Borders. This clinic was presented at Softball Con.

Coach Kim Dunlop-Borders continues with part 3 of her clinic on proper pitching mechanics! Again, Coach Kim demonstrates and explains drills that show immediate results on ball spin. When a fastpitch softball pitcher can see the spin of the ball, whether it be right or wrong, then that pitcher can adjust or continue to pitch and improve her skill,

Coach Kim then admits that she does not like the screw ball. with the screw ball the motions do force improper mechanics and balance. Therefore, to teach the screw ball the pitcher need to be mature enough in pitching so that she will be able to pitch a screw ball and then adjust right back to the proper mechanics and balance of all the other pitches.
