USA Softball PINK auction for Susan G. Komen for the Cure®
Runs through September 25

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Amateur Softball Association (ASA) of America/USA Softball continues its fundraising efforts for Susan G. Komen Central and Western Oklahoma September 15-25 with the eighth annual “Pink Auction”. From now through September 25 at 8 A.M. CST, fans have the opportunity to bid through eBay on 17 autographed items from the USA Softball Women’s National Team “Pink Out” games at the annual World Cup of Softball in Irvine, Calif. and Oklahoma City, Okla.

The USA Softball Pink Auction includes autographed, game-worn jerseys from members of the 2013, 2014 and 2015 USA Softball Women’s National Team. Only items listed by Softball Outlet are a part of the benefit auction for Susan G. Komen Central and Western Oklahoma. All items are accompanied by a USA Softball certificate of authenticity.

Since the inception of the “Pink Out” auction in 2008, ASA/USA Softball has raised over $71,000 for Susan G. Komen Central and Western Oklahoma through the auctioning of game-worn USA Softball jerseys as well as bats, cleats, helmets and other softball apparel. In addition to the monies raised through the auction, ASA/USA Softball also creates additional awareness for the foundation by wearing specially made pink USA Softball jerseys on international television broadcasts.

Note: Per NCAA rules, items worn by and only signed by athletes with remaining college eligibility cannot be auctioned off at this time. These items will be auctioned at a later date once the athletes have exhausted their college eligibility.

About Susan G. Komen Central and Western Oklahoma

Since 1994, Komen Central and Western Oklahoma has granted over $9.5 million. With the support of our signature fundraiser, the Race for the Cure®, we will award over $750,000 toward the fight against breast cancer by funding grassroots educational programs as well as national research. Up to seventy-five percent of the net proceeds raised by the Affiliate are dedicated to fighting breast cancer in its 47 County Service Area. Grants are awarded each year to local hospitals and community organizations that provide innovative outreach and awareness programs for medically underserved women. A minimum of twenty-five percent of the net proceeds raised by Komen Central and Western Oklahoma fund the national breast cancer research through the Susan G. Komen Grants Program. Partnerships with corporate sponsors and community organizations allows us to continue holding the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®, as well as other fundraisers, including the Pink Tie Ball and Paddle for the Cure.
